STEMCELL Technologies offers a range of highly specialized cell culture media optimized for maintenance, differentiation and cryopreservation of human induced pluripotent stem cells (hIPSCs), human embryonic stem cells (hESCs), hematopoietic progenitor cells, mesenchymal stem cells, neural stem cells and human and mouse mammary epithelial cells.  

Embryonic stem cells & induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells:

STEMCELL Technologies has mTeSR1 and mTeSR2 as standardized media for feeder – independent maintenance of hESCs and hIPSCs. These are complete, serum – free, defined formulation, virus – free derivation of hiPSCs, isolation, cryopreservation and characterization of undifferentiated hESCs and hiPSCs.


Hematopoietic stem & progenitor cells

MethoCult: A standardized and worldwide recognized optimum medium for the culture of hematopoietic progenitors from human, non – human primates, mice and dogs.  Assess CFC number in cord blood units in only 7 days, can be used with red blood cell (RBC) – depleted cord blood sample and whole blood samples after cryopreservation. Can also be used with immobilized peripheral blood sample.


MegaCult® : MegaCult®-C collagen-based medium is used to detect megakaryocyte progenitors from cord blood, mobilized peripheral blood and bone marrow.
